Who we are

Ambey Electrician is an electrical contracting business operating from Tulsi, M-806, Someshwara Enclave, Vesu, Surat, Gujarat 395007. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and in the course of providing electrical services, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What this website collects

This website has no user accounts, no login, no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics beyond what is described below. It does not set marketing cookies.

The enquiry form on this site is front-end only. The details you type are validated in your browser and are not transmitted to any server by us. When you submit the form, we generate a pre-filled WhatsApp message containing what you entered, which you then choose to send or not send. If you close the page without sending it, we never receive anything.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — for security and reliability purposes. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.

Information we collect when you contact us

When you call, message or WhatsApp us, we record what we need to deliver the service you have asked for:

• Your name and contact number
• Your service address in Surat
• A description of the electrical issue or work required
• Email address, if you provide one
• Records of work carried out — including circuit schedules, test readings, photographs of installations, quotations and invoices

Why we keep work records

We maintain a property record for every client — circuit layouts, measured test readings, work history and outstanding recommendations. This is a service feature rather than a marketing one: it means the next electrician who visits you already understands your installation, and it gives you a documented electrical history if you ever sell the property.

We retain these records for eight years, which covers our longest workmanship warranty period with a margin. You may ask us to delete them at any time, subject to any legal obligation to retain invoices.

Who we share information with

We do not sell, rent or trade your information with anyone. We do not share it with marketing companies or data brokers. Information is shared only in these limited circumstances:

• With a supplier, where a warranty claim on a product you own requires it — and only with your agreement
• With your society management or landlord, where you have asked us to provide a report on your behalf
• Where we are legally required to do so

Photographs of your property

We photograph concealed wiring routes before plastering, and completed installations at handover. These serve two purposes: they form part of your property record, and we occasionally use them in our work gallery.

Gallery use is anonymised — we show the installation, never identifiable features of your home, and never your address or name beyond the general area. If you would prefer that no photographs of your property are used publicly, tell us and we will note it on your record permanently.

WhatsApp and telephone

When you contact us via WhatsApp, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy terms in addition to ours. We treat WhatsApp messages the same as any other enquiry: used to deliver the service, retained as part of your work record, never used for unsolicited marketing.

We do not send promotional messages. If you receive a message from us, it is about a job you have booked, a scheduled maintenance visit you have contracted, or a direct reply to something you sent us.

Third-party embeds

This site embeds Google Maps on the contact and area pages so you can see where we are based. Google may set its own cookies and collect data when that map loads, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. The maps are lazy-loaded, meaning they only load when scrolled into view.

Fonts are self-hosted through Next.js font optimisation, so no requests are made to external font services while you browse.

Your rights

You may at any time ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Provide a copy of your work records and test readings
• Correct anything that is inaccurate
• Delete your records, subject to legal retention requirements for invoices
• Stop using photographs of your property in our gallery

Security

This website is served over HTTPS with strict transport security, content-type protection and frame protection headers. Work records are held on access-controlled systems, and printed documentation is stored securely at our Vesu workshop.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be communicated directly.
